Lessons Learned

This past weekend I was talked into trying snowboarding for the first time ever. I knew it was going to ne interesting and that is was. After a few times down the hill and falling a million times I took a breather at the top. I thought this could be a great time to do my English homework. So as I sat in the cold snow I looked around and saw all these little kids. Some with there parents and some where zooming down the hill like pros, making me feel even better about myself. There was this one father and son team that really caught my attention. The son had to have been no more that 6 years old and he was so determined so ski on his own. This little one was different than he others in that he was so in tune and focused to what his dad was telling him. Most little kids just go and try to do it on their own cause they see the other kids their age doing so. But this little kid who was all bundled up was so focused. His dad would tell him one thing then go try it. When he fell, he would get up, and ask what did I do wrong? I was so surprised, cause most little boys try and do it on their own without help from anyone.
As I was watching I could see the little boy getting better and better with each pass down the hill. His dad was so proud, and excited to see his son ski. I could tell that his dad had a passion for skiing. I think the best part about this whole thing was the expression on this little ones face. He would get upset but only for a sec then he would smile and try again. I could tell he was having a great time learning this new sport. Finally after a few more passes down the hill with improvements each time, he made it. Down the hill he went all the way to the bottom with out falling. It was great I was even happy for him. His father was so excited his face lit up and he had a smile from ear to ear. He raced down the hill to congratulate his boy. The little boy was so happy as well.
I feel we can all learn from this. when ever we are learning something knew we should try the advice given to us. i mean what do we know? we should take thier advice and if we dont find it works for us then it doesnt thank them for the advice and move on. when this young one becomes more skilled he mit modify his techniques to better suit him. also stay focused nad dont give up. just keep striving for it set your self a goal and strive for it.
